Recreation

Residents of the Town of Hardisty work hard, and they like to play hard, too. Multiple organizations work with the municipality to ensure recreational opportunities are available to both children and adults year-round.

GIBSON ENERGY Centre (Arena)

The arena is open from October to the end of March each year, and besides Minor Hockey rentals, is also used for CanSkate, Figure Skating, Shinny, Public Skates and fun league hockey. The adjacent curling rink offers up three sheets and is in use all winter long. An upstairs hall at the curling rink provides a warm place to watch friends and family members throw rocks, or to hold gatherings.

Hardisty Lakeview Golf Course

Hardisty's Lakeview Golf Course is one of the town's best-kept secrets. The nine-hole course takes advantage of the area's natural beauty to create a pleasant and challenging course. During the summer months, Lakeview Golf Course becomes a hub of the community, with golfers traversing the rolling greens and hungry residents and golfers alike coming to the clubhouse for a quick bite to eat.

Residents, organizations and businesses alike can book tournaments at the course, and during the winter months, the hall can be rented for special events.
