We plan on connecting the Hotel located south of the Esso to municipal services during the morning of Wednesday Oct 26. Parts of 47th Avenue will be closed to traffic starting on Monday Oct. 24 to locate services. On Tuesday access to this area will be further restricted due excavation required for the connections. Due to the weather over the last couple of weeks it looks like we will be unable to complete the re-surfacing of 49th Avenue, 45th Street, 44th Street, and Meadow Lane this year. If all goes well the paving company would start work during the second week of May. For this reason, the intersection located at Luken Ave and 44th Street has been re-opened to traffic. Municipal Affairs travelled to 20 locations across Alberta during June and July, 2016 to discuss the proposed changes to the MGA through public sessions.
