TOTAL FIRE BAN IN EFFECT FOR THE TOWN OF HARDISTY
Issued: April 19th, 2016
Pursuant to the Town of Hardisty Burning Bylaw #1037 Sec. 6 a Total Fire Ban has been declared within the Town of Hardisty corporate limits.
Fire Bans will be issued by the Mayor or Director of Disaster Services upon recommendation from the Town's Fire Chief. No Person shall light an "Outdoor Fire", or light or permit "Open Burning" or "Recreational Fires" within the corporate limits of the Town of Hardisty when a fire ban is in place.
Any person violating any provision of this By-law shall, upon issuance of a "Municipal Violation Ticket", be liable to pay a voluntary penalty of fifty ($50.00) dollars and failing such payment within ten (10) days of the issuance of such ticket, shall be liable on summary conviction to pay a fine of not less than fifty ($50.00) dollars and not more than twenty-five hundred ($2,500.00) dollars and in default of payment, judgement.
