Senior Services

While Hardisty has a vibrant, young population, the town doesn't close its eyes to its senior population. Many residents of the community have relocated from outlying farms and communities to enjoy the companionship of others in retirement.

Hardisty has a residence, Parkland Manor, dedicated to providing supportive living for the community's Seniors. Other services include monthly visits from FFCS, the Drop-In Centre, Social Club and HandiVan.

Seniors FIRST

Operated by Flagstaff Family and Community Services (FFCS), this monthly visit of a service options counsellor, currently Donna Coombs, once per month is designed to help Senior Citizens discover any programs, grants, and other opportunities of which they may be otherwise unaware. Programs exist to help keep Seniors in their homes, cover large tax or utility bills and more.

The visits are the first Thursday of the month, unless otherwise stated, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) at the Town of Hardisty office.
