A development permit must be obtained prior to any new construction, structural renovations, demolition, moving an existing development, opening a new business and/or changing the use of existing buildings. Development permits provide municipal approval for the use of land, as well as the size and location of any buildings or structures. Other Bylaws or regulations of the Town, Province or Federal Government must also be followed.
